The Nevada Division of State Parks convenes its Recreational Trails Program Advisory Committee Meeting next week, where Nevadans will have an opportunity to share their thoughts on future trail projects. The two-day meeting is set for Jan. 6–7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Members of the public can attend in person, at 901 S. Stewart St. in Carson City, or participate virtually.

Trail grant applicants will present their proposed projects during the meeting, with 10 minutes allotted for each presentation and an additional five minutes for questions from committee members. Following the presentations, the advisory committee will review the proposals and make recommendations.

Roughly $1.2 million is expected to be available for motorized and non-motorized trail projects statewide, as well as trail-related education and outreach efforts. Eligible applicants include government agencies at all levels, tribal governments, special districts, and nonprofit organizations.

Details and the virtual meeting link are available on the Nevada State Parks website.
